Stanley is standing in front of the first base foul line and the view is of the left field bleachers. It seems most Yankee Stadium baseball card photos, you see the more glamorous right field grandstands. But you can make out the Bronx tenements and a very New York style rooftop water tower beyond the bleachers. The advertising billboard all the way on the left is for Royal Crown Cola.Flitgun Frankiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04474023909860316340noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4487834052004001845.post-81704705945030957062021-06-16T13:39:31.918-04:002021-06-16T13:39:31.918-04:00I would love to hear Rizzuto's call of Fred St...I would love to hear Rizzuto's call of Fred Stanley's Grand Slam!<br />Nickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17556694134545568157noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4487834052004001845.post-26840043761356537122012-06-07T15:08:03.717-04:002012-06-07T15:08:03.717-04:00Picture was taken during the '73 season and th...Picture was taken during the '73 season and the Original Yankee Stadiumdistantreplay.orghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12660038146911657598noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4487834052004001845.post-17936792373881509842011-04-11T02:35:08.253-04:002011-04-11T02:35:08.253-04:00He was almost born on my birthday. Definitely not a common practice by '75, though -- I associate it more with Topps sets from the '60s -- and I think '75 may have been the last year they did it at all.MCThttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08283702499696500079noreply@blogger.com
