She was in a lot of westerns, but most famous part was in All The King's Men, which won the best picture Oscar some time in the late 40s.Flitgun Frankiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04474023909860316340noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4487834052004001845.post-32006218104800100912020-05-09T11:04:27.001-04:002020-05-09T11:04:27.001-04:00Penny is Pete's 1/2 sister I believe. He mentioned to a competitor who was a minor league baseball player that his son had played baseball. I knew the name of his son because I read it on the back of a card...but I did notice that Marshall didn't actually say the son's name.

I always wondered whether that was because the player knew him, or because viewers might get confused by the fact that the last names didn't match...or because the censors said, "no, you can't say that on TV."Chris Stufflestreethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04229983444919282224noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4487834052004001845.post-25576472083377261582011-03-29T03:08:58.706-04:002011-03-29T03:08:58.706-04:00Jim, I think you're confusing Pete LaCock'...Jim, I think you're confusing Pete LaCock's father and Hollywood Square's Host Peter Marshall with Happy Days producer Garry Marshall who happened to be the brother of Laverne and Shirley's Penny Marshall (neither of whom are related to Pete LaCock).steeleherehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17413236126581293109noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4487834052004001845.post-45649217555889666802011-03-29T02:17:34.953-04:002011-03-29T02:17:34.953-04:00And of course his sister was "Laverne", ...And of course his sister was "Laverne", Penny Marshall.
